Finding our perfect wedding day photographer was one of the most important parts of our wedding planning. We wanted every special moment of the day captured in the perfect way so that every time we look back at our wedding photos, we could relive one of the happiest memories of our lives once again.

We did quite a bit of research on wedding day photographers and spent several weekends just going through portfolios of different photographers and meeting them in person. When we viewed Patrick’s portfolio, we knew he was the one. Patrick’s style is simple yet classy. All his photos have a natural elegance to them and we are very grateful to have him as our wedding day photographer.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Patrick and his team again for their professionalism and quality work!

Many girls dream about having a lovely outdoor wedding at a beautiful garden with blue skies and warm sunshine.  Sadly, the weather is something that one cannot truly predict. Just like Jacqueline and Alex, they selected the outdoor area at the Beas River Country Club for their wedding day. The luxurious lawns there make it one of my favourite wedding venues too! However, the weather was unkind to the the newlyweds and it started raining sporadically all day. Even though many would find this such a killjoy, surprisingly the rain had no effect on this lovely occasion!

As I always emphasize, the most important thing about a wedding is the couple and the moments they share with their family and friends. External factors do not matter as long as the couple and their loved ones are having a great time and enjoying every second of their precious day. Even though my team and I were worried that the weather would affect the outcome of the pictures, we were glad that the pictures turned out beautiful as always! More importantly, we felt we did the wedding justice by capturing the joyful atmosphere and all the heartwarming moments. Jacqueline and Alex had a lovely wedding in the end, and it was truly an unforgettable day for all of us!

Patrick was our photographer for our pre-wedding shooting in February and wedding day in June 2014. We knew him through seeing his photos of a friend on Facebook and the website. His photos impressed us a lot because he is able to catch the natural and true beauty of the hosts. After meeting him once, we decided to invite him as our photographer for the two important shooting days in our life. Showing his enthusiasm and professionalism, Patrick was so eager to learn about our background and characters so as to decide the shooting venues together.

He arranged rental of nice wedding gowns and tuxedo, dedicated make-up artist and transport for us on the shooting day . He was so capable of leading us to make comfortable poses and give cheerful faces! We enjoyed a lot during the whole shooting process without nervousness but only laughter. His assistant and make-up artist were helpful and nice so we were fully relaxed. Patrick’s work was efficient that our pre-wedding photos were ready within a month, so we could prepare the album and canvas. Without extra editing or artificial work, we looked naturally beautiful and joyful in the pre-wedding photos, showing our excitement of our marriage!

Before the wedding day, Patrick met us for going through the rundown. As time was rather tight on our big day, he comforted us a lot saying that his crew could help control the time for us. On our big day, Patrick and his crew arrived earlier to have good preparation on lighting and everything. Not only did he take good photos of us, but our relatives and friends were captured well. They liked Patrick’s work too.

We appreciate Patrick and his crew for their well-done job. It was a very enjoyable shooting experience with him. Our stunning and important moments were captured by his good hands. We can ensure you that choosing Patrick’s photography will guarantee you good quality photos and nice memory as part of your wedding.

When people think of weddings, what comes to mind is normally a romantic day where the bride wearing a beautiful gown walks down the aisle in a fancy church. In fact, since Hong Kong is after all a Chinese society, many couples preserve many Chinese traditions in their weddings, making it even more unique. For me, I really enjoy taking pictures at traditional Chinese weddings too as the bright colours can accentuate the joy and celebratory atmosphere of the wedding. The pictures can also bring out the Chinese culture and values such as respect for the elders, which may not be so prominent in western weddings.

At Victoria and Eric’s wedding, they certainly preserved many Chinese traditions. One of the most eyecatching elements would certainly be her beautiful red qipao – there is so much elegance and beauty in this oriental setting that I wish to capture in all my photos. I’m so glad that I was able to be a part of their memorable day, and I look forward to photographing more Chinese weddings in the future!

In the past, I’ve taken pictures at many cross-culture weddings. Couples who come from different countries actually have to face many challenges, from different languages to backgrounds, cultures and religions. There must be a certain degree of understanding and compromise to continue on a relationship and decide to be each other’s lifelong partners.

Dream and Thomas actually have to face one more obstacle – geographical distance, as they were having a long distance relationship. Although they met each other when they studied in England, Dream is working in Thailand while Thomas is working in England. It is truly fascinating and touching that after so many years of being apart, they can still be so sure that they are meant for each other and decide to spend the rest of their lives together.

My relationship with the couple was also long distance as Dream found my pictures online and finally appointed me to be her wedding photographer even though we have not met. They actually already had a small ceremony in Thailand and have completed all the paperwork, so at they could really relax and enjoy themselves at their Hong Kong wedding. Even though it was a simple half-day wedding, you can see from their eyes how much they love and trust each other. I was truly touched by them, and I wish them every happiness in their years to come!
