Dream . Thomas’s Wedding@Renaissance Harbour View – Distance Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

In the past, I’ve taken pictures at many cross-culture weddings. Couples who come from different countries actually have to face many challenges, from different languages to backgrounds, cultures and religions. There must be a certain degree of understanding and compromise to continue on a relationship and decide to be each other’s lifelong partners.

Dream and Thomas actually have to face one more obstacle – geographical distance, as they were having a long distance relationship. Although they met each other when they studied in England, Dream is working in Thailand while Thomas is working in England. It is truly fascinating and touching that after so many years of being apart, they can still be so sure that they are meant for each other and decide to spend the rest of their lives together.

My relationship with the couple was also long distance as Dream found my pictures online and finally appointed me to be her wedding photographer even though we have not met. They actually already had a small ceremony in Thailand and have completed all the paperwork, so at they could really relax and enjoy themselves at their Hong Kong wedding. Even though it was a simple half-day wedding, you can see from their eyes how much they love and trust each other. I was truly touched by them, and I wish them every happiness in their years to come!
