Elaine . Jerry’s Wedding – Tibetan Fusion

It may be hard to find a peaceful spot in a concrete jungle like Hong Kong, but there are actually many venues in Hong Kong that make wonderful wedding locations! I’ve always enjoyed capturing outdoor weddings because of the spacious environment which gives me more room for creativity. Natural lighting from the sun also accentuates the beauty of the environment in each picture.

Elaine and Jerry’s wedding was held at Hyatt Regency in Shatin, which has the perfect landscaped garden for their special day. The wedding took place in the afternoon, but the most captivating photos were taken during sunset when the wedding was about to come to an end. This was the time when the sun shone softly on the venue, giving the pictures a warm and comfortable vibe especially during the chilly autumn-winter season. I also tried my best to preserve this beautiful harmony in each picture when I was processing the pictures.

Some people may ask why Elaine and Jerry didn’t wear traditional Chinese outfits at the traditional ceremony. Interestingly, Jerry has always been fond of Tibetan culture, and has even travelled there alone many times. That is why he wanted to incorporate some Tibetan traditions in their wedding, which I believe makes their big day even more special!

Although it was a really busy day for the couple, fortunately we were efficient enough to complete the same day video edit. After taking a look at the pictures from their big day, don’t forget to also watch their wedding video to fully experience their touching wedding!
