Joan . Andy’s Wedding – A little bit of Britain in Hong Kong

Joan and Andy’s wedding was held at a very special location – a private club called the Helena May on Garden Road, Central. This heritage building was built in 1916 with nearly 100 years of history, dating back from the time when Hong Kong was a British colony. The traditional architecture and interior design gives a nostalgic aura to the building, which is why Joanne, who is a fan of the British theme, picked this location for her special day.

Although they could not invite many friends and family to their wedding as the Helena May could only allow 120 people in, this did not stop the couple from putting a lot of thought and effort into their big day. The simplicity of the whole event emphasized the fact that the focus of the wedding should be on the couple, and they were truly the stars in the pictures! The Helena May has many function rooms that all have a British decor that matches Joanne’s traditional wedding gown perfectly. Therefore, no fancy lighting was really needed to accentuate the beauty of the bride and simple natural light from the windows was already enough to capture the best shot.

If you’re considering wedding locations yourself, why not think about something new and different from 5-star hotels and give the Helena May a try?
