Krystal . Simon’s Wedding@Island Shangri-La

A wedding is a big day not only for the newlyweds, but more importantly for their loved ones. The laughter and joy that I felt from Krystal and Simon’s family and friends made their wedding an unforgettably touching event that I will always remember.

Krystal and Simon are from Singapore and Malaysia respectively – I’ve met many Singaporeans and Malaysians before and they are always so cheerful, passionate and completely fun to be with! As I always say, there is no need to pose in front of a camera as long as you are enjoying the moment. Tears of happiness, heartfelt smiles and genuine laughter are the precious images that will bring back the best memories, and I always try my best to capture these heartwarming moments in the most natural way.

This pair of newlyweds held a simple wedding at Shangri-La Hotel where the papers were signed, followed by a beautiful wedding banquet. One of things that I observed about Krystal is that she’s a really playful and genuine girl – she pulled Simon’s ear after signing the papers! That was certainly a moment that brought laughter all around.

There were so many beautiful and memorable moments that night, such as the speeches made by Krystal as well as the bridemaids. But one of the happiest and most unforgettable moments that night was the toasting tradition by the guests. I learnt that this tradition, known as Yum Seng (meaning “Cheers”), involves the couple and their close ones going on stage. Together with their guests, they will hold their glasses high and shout “Yuuum Sengggggggg”, the longer they hold the note for, the more blessings they pass on to the couple. This was such an exciting and joyful moment that I will always remember.

Once again, I wish Krystal and Simon every happiness in their lovely future together!
