Mili . Paul’s Wedding – A Small and Touching Wedding

Mili and Paul come from New York City, but decided to have the wedding in Hong Kong where Mili’s cousin is staying, since they are very close with him. The day of the ceremony was a big day for them not only because they are finally going be pronounced as husband as wife, but also because it was the day of their 10 year anniversary! This makes the day extra special for this loving couple.

They exchanged their vows at a civil ceremony conducted by an interfaith minister, since Paul is Mili is Hindu and Paul is Sikh, and they incorporated some of their own religious traditions in the wedding. It was certainly interesting to see how different religions with different traditions could converge in one ceremony.

Although it was a small wedding with only a few people, this does not make the ceremony any less meaningful and special. Although many couples may prefer to hold huge banquets inviting all their friends and relatives, sometimes it is nice to share this special moment with those who are truly close to their heart.

I captured this scene of Paul busy writing his vows. Although this looks rather ordinary, since he is not dressed in a tuxedo and there are no special or exciting activities happening here, the simplicity of a groom writing his vows with complete focus and dedication exemplifies the true love between the couple which makes the wedding complete.
